      Downloadable! The perceptions of farmers about risks in production of fruits and vegetables have been analysed using structured survey method. The study is based on the survey of a total of farmers, comprising fruit farmers and vegetable farmers, covering six districts of Uttar Pradesh, namely, Lucknow, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Moradabad, Jhansi and Agra. In a study conducted in six major aquaculture producing Indian States (Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal), Bhatta () reported the age of fish farmers ranged from 38 years in Andhra Pradesh to 58 years in Haryana, with a national average of 47 years.
